MYTH – DRINKING GREEN TEA ENTIRE DAY HELPS IN WEIGHT LOSS


GREEN TEA is not just a liquid.
Green tea is a type of tea that is made from Camellia sinensis leaves and buds that have not undergone the same withering and oxidation process used to make oolong teas and black teas. Green tea originated in China, but its production and manufacture has spread to other countries in East Asia.

Several varieties of green tea exist, which differ substantially based on the variety of C. sinensis used, growing conditions, horticultural methods, production processing, and time of harvest.

Green tea is rich in Catechins. These are antioxidants that fight and may even prevent cell damage. Green tea is not processed much before it’s poured in your cup, so it’s rich in catechins. Don’t add green tea to boiling water. It’s bad for catechins, those healthy chemicals, in the tea.It is rich in Antioxidants prevents some types of cancer, helps in weight loss, prevents Alzheimer & Parkinson disease. Helps in lowering risk of infection and much more..
But that doesn’t justify having Green tea entire day because still we don’t have scientific evidence.

Green tea entire Day Makes you nauseated: Many people ignore this side effect until it becomes too unpleasant. But that’s not good for you. If you have too much too soon, green tea can make you throw up.

It kills your appetite, but that’s not always a good thing: To be healthy you have to eat right not abstain from eating. So curbing food is not a good proposal.

Green tea has caffeine: since excess of caffeine interfere with sleep. Sleeping well is body’s internal defence mechanism. Sleep apnea results in multitude of health problems.

It can block iron absorption in your body and cause anaemia

Any kind of tea can interfere with iron absorption in the body. However, because it’s considered healthy, people tend to drink a lot of green tea when they start. This increases the risk of iron deficiency, even in people who are trying to eat healthy

Reduce absorption in body. It’s tanin can produce more acids.

But green tea is a smart swap for sugary drinks.

“All things being equal, if you sub 1-2 cups of green tea for one can of soda, over the next year you’d save over 50,000 calories. Ultimately we have to create a calorie deficit to reap the benefits of Green tea.

Health is overall  being .one should have a healthy lifestyle, eat local food on time and include physical activity to reap the benefits. Excess of even Healthy food items are bad for Health. Balance is the key .Often it is seen people consuming Green tea with cookies which is a satire. Drink not more than 2 cups of Green tea in a day.
