Pehley aaya health second aaya mental health ab yeh kya hai gut health ?? suddenly uproar hai gut health  ka. Hai na?? It seems it is in fashion.

“Gut health is the key to overall health”. It is the most sort out tag line.GUT AND BRAIN

Have you experienced butterflies in the stomach? You can’t deny . Yaad kare woh khattey-  meethey -lamhe.

Your first crush, your favorite star on screen, your results, your job, first  stage  performances and  the list goes on.

Butterflies in your stomach means you have a nervous feeling in your stomach. These sensations emanating from your belly suggest that your gut and brain are connected.

The human gut is lined with more than 100 million nerve cells—it’s practically a brain unto itself. And indeed, the gut actually talks to the brain, releasing hormones into the bloodstream that, over the course of about 10 minutes, tell us how hungry it is, or that we shouldn’t have eaten an entire pizza.

All experiences pleasant or unpleasant have effects on our gut.

Anger, anxiety, sadness, elation all these feelings (and others) can trigger symptoms in the gut. Our emotions have a direct impact on stomach and intestine. Remember the colon and large intestine are very vulnerable to negative emotions. In these moments of panic there is a sudden need to use the restroom.

Your brain affects your gut health and vice versa. Whole health and fitness fraternity is hovering with the connection between gut health and mental wellbeing.

Our gut is the foundation of everything.

It aids in the digestion of the foods you eat. It absorbs nutrients, and uses it to fuel and maintain your body. Remember 70-80% of immune cells are present in the gut. Gut bacteria produces a library of neurotransmitters that can affect how we feel, including dopamine, norepinephrine, and gamma-aminobutyric acid. These chemicals are key players in triggering intense feelings of happiness, reward, or anxiety.

Wait, don’t panic and rush to the loo. Lets clear all our doubts,

Gastrointestinal tract is a long tube that starts at the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine and ends at the anus. So the gut constitutes the whole G.I. (gastrointestinal tract)  The mouth is the first part of the gut. When we eat food, it passes down the gullet into the stomach and then into the small intestine. Each and every part constitutes the Gut.

But my question is now how come Gut health has become such a relevant word in the health and fitness sector?

Gut health is linked to the immune system, mood, mental health, autoimmune disease, endocrine function, skin diseases and cancer. That is the reason even with the battery of tests and investigation crux of all health issues comes to GUT.

Often we see if one is stressed before a journey by having an upset stomach.

 SIGN OF UNHEALTHY GUT

EXCESSIVE SWEET CRAVING : We all would  love to indulge in sweets like ladoo, kaju katli, rasgulla, ice cream once a while. But in fact, excessive sugar cravings may be partially caused by the types of microorganisms in your gut. So treat the root cause of the problem.

To discourage the conflict between the microbes and yourself become a strict policeman to your gut and brain.

 One simple test.

  •  Pledge not to feed the gut with white sugar for 21 days and see the results.
Remember you are the master of your mind. Be a strict boss.
  •  Another small trick is to add a pinch of cinnamon in your beverages. It has a sweet aroma which helps in reducing your sugar craving.

These two tips are very easy to follow isn’t it?
